About

Sade Mims is a New York City–based artist and designer working at the intersection of fashion, art, and cultural storytelling. With over a decade of experience in creative and fashion direction, her practice is defined by a refined visual language, a sharp instinct for forecasting, and an ability to translate ideas into cohesive, resonant worlds. Her work has been recognized by leading publications including WWD, Vogue, and The Wall Street Journal.

As the founder of EDAS, Mims has cultivated a brand that functions as both a design studio and a community platform—rooted in connection, intention, and modern expression. Her approach to design extends beyond product into experience, shaping environments and moments that feel both intimate and culturally aware. This commitment to community-centered work was recognized by In Service Of, who honored her story through a mural installation in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn.

Mims brings a multidimensional perspective shaped by her background in Fashion Marketing and Merchandising and her hands-on experience across product design, creative direction, and experiential production. Her work ranges from collaborating on specialized design projects—including an eyewear sling bag with Warby Parker—to producing intimate fashion gatherings and speaking at Harvard University on the power of building a strong visual language.

Her practice is grounded in the belief that design should be both intentional and impactful—visually compelling while rooted in meaning and connection.

Sade Mims is currently seeking collaborations with fashion houses and creative teams that value strong point of view, thoughtful execution, and culturally relevant design.
